7 Day Sri Lanka Activity Tour

A Wonderful Sri Lankan Experience

Join us on a thrilling 7 day activity tour taking in the spectacular scenery of this beautiful land. From climbing the 5th century fortress at Sigiriya often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the Worldto a jungle hike in the Knuckles Mountain Range past waterfalls and through rural unspoilt villages. Cycling the back roads through the high country, passing the world famous tea plantations and the stunning scenery. The exhilirating splash of water in our faces as we experience the white water rafting of the Kelani River. An unforgetable adventure lies ahead.

Day 1

Collect at airport or hotel in Colombo. Drive to Minneriya National Park. Early evening Jeep Safari where we will see the animals in their natural environment. We will see the diverse range of animals and birds, elephants, deer, water buffalo, monkeys, eagles, owls and the magnificent peacock.

Day 2

Early departure to visit Sigriya to see the ancient rock fortress. A World Heritage site since 1982. An opportunity to climb the steps and see the ancient citadel at the top. After lunch we depart for Illukkumbura.

Day 3

Early start for a half day hike through the Knuckles Mountain Range, so named as the peaks and valleys resemble a clenched fist when viewed from certain angles. The forest which is surrounded by 34 mountains has many hiking trails. Tumbling waterfalls, quaint authentic villages hidden from the outside world.. Hiking trails are varied in length and difficulty (some are only a 2-3km) so we can chose according to your wishes. Overnight camping or guest house (basic).

Day 4

Early morning departure to Kandy stopping at Spice Plantation on route. Tooth Relic, authentic show.

Day 5

Morning visit to the famous Kandy Botantical Gardens. Afternoon drive to Nuwara Eliya,stopping on route at Tea Factory. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6

Morning cycle to Hatton, this is a mostly downhill back road trip of about 40kms. Passing through tea plantations and the beautiful valley scenery. The cycle ends in Tallawakelle where after lunch we will depart for Kitulgala.

Day 7

A day white water rafting on the Kelani River. There are 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids on the course. There are also options here for waterfall abseiling and numerous cycling and walking trails to explore here. Overnight with BBQ available.

Day 8

End of tour. You will be returned to either Colombo or the southern beach resorts if you are staying on longer.

Please note that the basic car chauffeur cost is $75 a day based on two people. Additional costs to factor in are standard of accommodation, meals, site & park admissions etc.

"It was a bit of a last minute thing and I organised Sujee from my hotel in Colombo. I had a rough idea of where I wanted to go but had no idea of the time constraints as to what was realistic in the 4 days I had. Sujee was so helpful in creating a plan where I got to see most of what I hoped. He sorted out admission tickets and accommodation for the nights we were away. The highlights were Sigiriya rock and the elephant safari at Minneriya. I had some of the tastiest curries and other dishes, he knows so many nice places to eat. I loved the house beside the paddy field near Polonnaruwa. Even though the time was short, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend him very much."
