6 Day Sri Lanka Wildlife Tour

Come and experience a wonderful journey through the incredible Wildlife parks of Sri Lanka. Truly a spellbinding island, this tour gets us up close to some of the most amazing scenery and wildlife of this majestic island. From Wilpattu National Park on the west coast to the iconic Yala in the south east of the island. These parks are home to elephants, monkeys, deer, sloth, buffalo and the magnificent leopard amongst others. A huge array of birds including jungle fowl, hornbills, pelicans and painted storks. We travel through tropical jungle to cooler high altitude hill country to see all this paradise island has to offer.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1
Collect at airport or pre determined hotel in Colombo. Drive to Wilpattu National Park in North West Sri Lanka. Overnight near the Park.
Day 2
Early start to do a full day Safari in Wilpattu where we may catch sight of elephants, leopards, sloth bear, deer and buffalo.
Day 3
As Anuradhapura as close by a visit is possible, alternatively we head towards Habarana to do an evening Safari in Minneriya National Park or Kaudulla National Park. Choice of Park is dependant on season and location of elephant herds.Overnight around Habarana or Dambulla.
Day 4
Drive to Nuwara Eliya stopping to see the world famous tea plantations. Optional visit to Ella and the famous Nine Arches Bridge and a chance to climb Little Adams Peak. Stay around Nuwara Eliya or Ella. This may necessitate an extra day.
Day 5
Morning drive to Yala National Park to do the evening Safari. Yala is home to elephants, leopards and hundreds of bird species. Overnight near Yala.
Day 6
Drive to beach resort in Mirissa or Weligama or alternatively return to Colombo.

Please note that the basic car chauffeur cost is $75 a day based on two people. Additional costs to factor in are standard of accommodation, meals, site & park admissions etc.
